Milton Police Department: advice on blizzard & snow removal

A blizzard warning has been issued for the South Shore as the third nor’easter in two weeks works its way up the eastern seaboard. The storm timeline is 11:00 p.m. Monday thru 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Travel conditions will be poor Tuesday between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Residents should remove all vehicles from town streets so as to not interfere with the Department of Public Works snow emergency operations. Plow equipment is very large and very heavy. They need room to operate as they do not respond or maneuver like a passenger car. All portable basketball hoops and hockey nets should also be placed out of the way.

Also, please do not deposit snow or ice onto or across a public roadway. This creates a hazardous condition to the public which must be corrected by the DPW. Please take note of the phone numbers below in the event you need to report a problem.
