This past January, we asked this question on Milton Neighbors:

Milton Neighbors’ wish lists ranged from a recreation/teen center to an Indian restaurant; from FIOS to better traffic enforcement. We took the the top 10 “wants” from Milton Neighbors, in order of number of posts and likes comments, and turned them into a poll.

  1. Recreational facility: teen center/ YMCA/bowling alley/community center
  2. Trader Joe’s/Ice House Market/Wegmans/Whole Foods
  3. Bookstore/bookmobile
  4. Kayak rental at Town Landing
  5. Boutiques/shops
  6. Ramen/Asian food
  7. Really nice green space for hanging out/recreation
  8. Dog park
  9. Ice cream shop
  10. Vegetarian or vegan restaurant

Our poll was “What’s your #1 want for Milton?”

Over 300 people took the poll. Here are the results, in order of votes:

  1. Trader Joe’s/Ice House Market/Wegmans/Whole Foods (135 votes)
  2. Recreational facility: teen center/ YMCA/bowling alley/community center (73 votes)
  3. Kayak rental at Town Landing (22 votes)
  4. Boutiques/shops (19 votes)
  5. Dog park (14 votes)
  6. Usable green space for hanging out/recreation (13 votes)
  7. TIE: Bookstore/bookmobile – Ice cream shop – Vegetarian or vegan restaurant (11 votes each)
  8. Ramen/Asian food (3 votes)
