Random Review Wednesday: Electrolux Ergorapido Cordless Stick Vacuum

I have a love-hate relationship with stick vacuums.

I need them because, frankly, without them, and their associated convenience, regular vacuuming will not happen.

And with three kids, regular vacuuming needs to happen.

We have hardwood floors, no pets, and some wool area rugs, which seem to shed a lot. There are a lot of women with a lot of hair in my house, so my family needs something that can deal with our hair and shedding rugs, but it’s gotta fast and easy to use. We’ve tried out three stick vacuums in the past year or so.

The first two each worked for like a week, after which lint would get clogged up right at the base of the vacuum, and would need to be cleaned out manually (yuck). Once cleaned out, the vacuum would work again… for one run around the living room, until it got clogged again. I should also note, we don’t live in a ginormous house.

Cue irritation and dirty floors.

So in my endless quest for the perfect cordless vacuum, I decided to give it a whirl. Literally.

And… It works – REALLY WELL!

When I use this thing, I feel like one of those perfectly coiffed happy vacuuming ladies you see in commercials that make no sense.

It also has this super-swivel thing, so the vacuumer du jour can breeze through the living area ultra-quickly. Hair, lint, and stale goldfish begone! Plus it has a crevice tool (cleverly hidden in the handle) which I thought you only got with heavy monster-sized vacuums.

Plus, the Electrolux Ergorapido is super light – weighing in at around 7lb. And it has this cool lift-off dust-buster-esque small vacuum that you can use for the car or other small areas.

So, for those of you who might also be on the quest for the perfect cordless vacuum, I highly recommend checking out the Electrolux Ergorapido. I ordered mine in red, but am slightly disappointed that I didn’t notice it also comes in turquoise one with white polka dots.

Here are some more details:

The Ergorapido lithium ion plus 2-in-1 cordless offers two vacuums in one stylish design for cleaning on and above your bare floors. The 10.8V lithium ion battery gives you high performance for optimal cleaning performance, a long run time and fast charge. Thoroughly clean the bare floors in your home with the motorized brushroll and cordless convenience. Clean above the floor with the detachable handheld vacuum. The crevice tool and dusting brush store conveniently in the handle so you can clean crevices, stairs and flat surfaces in one easy step. 180 degree easy steer maneuverability offers smooth turning and movement, helping you twist and turn around furniture with ease. The lightweight, bag-less design makes it easy for you to get around-get up and down stairs and carry from room to room.
