Michael Munsey announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting Member, Precinct 3

Candidate announcement for Michael Munsey, running for reelection as a Town Meeting Member in Precinct 3. I am excited to be a candidate running for re-election as a Town Meeting Member in Precinct 3. I have lived in Milton since 1999. My wife Beth Molnar is running for a seat as well. Our son was a student in the Milton Public Schools from kindergarten through 8th grade, and he is currently a 9th grader at Milton Academy. I do marketing in the software business, with a background in electrical engineering and computer science, working at the company Siemens. I volunteer as Director of the Tau Beta Pi alumni chapter for Greater Boston and as a member of the Forbes Business Development Council.

I am also a musician (jazz saxophone player) and have stayed involved as a volunteer with the music department of the high school I attended in Duxbury, MA ever since I was a student there. I regularly serve as chaperone on their music trips to Orlando, New York City, Chicago and more; I serve as emcee for annual concerts and help with many other logistics. I bring this school volunteer work, my professional experience in marketing and business development, 24 years of being a Milton resident, 15 years of being a Milton parent, and more to the Town Meeting Member position. I would appreciate your vote on April 25th. Thank you.

I am running for re-election as Town Meeting Members in Precinct 3 for many reasons, including:

  • We live in a neighborhood that has seen wonderful growth over the years we have been here (nearby Steel and Rye is a favorite!) We would like to be a part of the decisions that are made to keep thoughtful growth happening in town.
  • We support the Milton Public Schools and all that they did for our son – and we would like to see the schools continue to improve and thrive. We believe this is good for all of us living in Milton, whether or not we have children in the schools. We strongly support recommendations for a new school building and thank the School Building Committee for their hard work the past four years.
  • Milton is a diverse and vibrant community – we support all efforts to keep it that way. It will be an honor to continue working on initiatives that push for equality and inclusion for all residents/all precincts.
