Milton Public Library to host two artists for exhibit in Wotiz Gallery

During the month of March, the Milton Public Library will host two artists in a joint exhibit in our Wotiz Gallery

They are Sculptor Peter Berman and Artist Tom Maholchic, who are both originally from Milton.

Peter Berman specializes in wire sculpture and he began creating art at the age of 8.  Now 31, his ever-expanding catalogue of works are principally influenced by nature and the human form. The sculptures are composed of colored aluminum wire, and sometimes incorporate complimentary materials like clay and paint.

Artist Tom Maholchic enjoys using acrylic for his paintings, and over the years he has pursued different styles, always looking for new creative challenges. His art ranges from impressionist landscapes to portraits to abstract fluid art.  Often blending different styles, he looks for inspiration from other artists, nature, and his surroundings.

Peter and Tom met as kids at Tucker Elementary School and began small collaborative projects in high school. Most recently featured together in June 2019 at the Savin Gallery in Dorchester, their latest joint works include media from each of their specialties fixed adjacent to each other.

There will be a free and open reception held for this exhibit on Wednesday, March 4th from 6-8 PM in the Gallery on the first floor.  Please come and view this cool and colorful display and meet the artists.
