I am Sheryl Fleitman and I am running for Library Trustee.

I grew up in Milton and attended Milton Public Schools. I live in Milton with my family; we have had our Milton home for over 50 years. I have always had a love of the library. I would walk to Kidder Branch Library weekly and come home with a huge pile of books which I would devour.

As an adult I still love Milton Public Library. It allows me to find things I didn’t know existed. The library connects me with the world. Through books, DVDs and the library system I can find any information on any subject. The librarians and friendly, helpful staff can find anything through their network. If we ever lose our libraries we have lost part of civilization.

The library is such a phenomenal resource and what a terrific investment of tax dollars! Books, CDs, DVDs and more can be ordered from all of the libraries in the OCLN network: that gives unlimited access to a lifelong pursuit of learning!

For me it is like a candy store but better because it’s free – libraries are open to everyone and give millions of people access to books, movies, magazines, and newspapers. That’s free knowledge and entertainment for all—you can’t beat that.

Our library has amazing worthwhile adult programming as well as excellent programs for children.
