Veteran’s Day observance to be held at town hall on November 11th, 2019

Celebrate and honor our veterans at Milton Town Hall.

The Town of Milton and the office of Veteran Services are proud to announce this year’s Veterans Day Observance, which will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Town Hall.

The Select Board of Milton and Director of Veteran’s Services, Kevin J. Cook, along with members of the American Legion Post 114 will conduct ceremonies to commemorate veterans past and present.

This year’s ceremony will be pay tribute all of Milton’s Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans. Milton’s Challenge Coin will be awarded to all Gulf War, Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans in attendance. If you are a Veteran from one of these conflicts and would like to participate in this year’s observance, please contact Kevin J. Cook at the Milton Veterans Services Office at 617-898-4939.

Our featured speaker will be Kyle Toto, Community Outreach Specialist at VA New England Healthcare System. In 2011, he was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, with the US Army Reserves where he was attached to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).

The ceremony honoring all veterans will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. with a procession down Canton Avenue to the Town Hall from Milton High School beginning at 10:30 a.m.
