Kids’ summer clothing drive to be held at Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills

Clothes to be accepted from June 18th – June 21st

As part of its โ€œThird Thursday Community Service Mitzvah Program,โ€ Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills will join with Interfaith Social Services of Quincy to conduct a Childrenโ€™s Summer Clothing Drive from June 18th to the โ€œThird Thursdayโ€, June 21st, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day.

New and gently used childrenโ€™s summer clothes can be brought to Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills at 18 Shoolman Way (off Lodge Street) in Milton between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 18th to the 21st. All types of summer clothing for children ages 1-12 are needed: tops, bottoms, shoes, sandals, swimsuits, etc., and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Please bring donations in plastic bags and, if possible, sort the clothing before packing. Clothing will be delivered to Interfaith Social Services in Quincy, a multi-service center helping South Shore families and individuals in need since 1947.

The synagogueโ€™s Mitzvah Program, operating under the Jewish tenet that โ€œperforming good deeds is an obligation,โ€ offers an opportunity for service to the community to both congregants and community members, including schools, houses of worship and organizations.
