Two programs to take place throughout July

The Forbes House Museum announces two youth programs offered during the month of July.

Cabin Boy Story Walk
Explore the grounds and read about the adventures of Robert Bennet Forbes when he was a young boy of 13 making his first trip to China. The Story Walk will be up throughout the summer, and on select days you can go inside the museum for a staff “Show and Tell.” It’s your chance to ask questions and get up close to genuine artifacts from those long-ago trips to China.

Cabin Boy “Show and Tell” is a free drop-in program that runs every Wednesday in July from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., and every Thursday in July from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

French Language Tours
Immersion students entering grades 3 and higher can take a 45-minute tour of the house conducted in French. Conversation and questions will be encouraged.

French tours are available July 17th and July 24th at 3:00 p.m., and July 30th at 10:00 a.m. The cost is $8/student and chaperones are free. Please call in advance to reserve your space at 617-696-1815, or rsvp via email to [email protected].
