In lieu of Sweetheart Dance, Girl Scouts raffling gift baskets; donating funds Milton Food Pantry
The following announcement appeared on the Girl Scout Troop 76176 Charity Baskets Facebook page:
Hello! We are 7th graders in Girl Scout Troop 76176. In 2019, we planned and ran the very popular Sweetheart Dance, and donated the funds we raised to local causes. We planned on doing the same in 2020, but unfortunately COVID got in the way. Before it had to be cancelled, we had made raffle baskets, and weren’t able to use them until now.
This year in lieu of the Sweetheart Dance we have decided to sell these baskets online to the highest bidders and donate 100% of the proceeds to the Milton Food Pantry, which is in desperate need of donations right now.
