Nomination papers now available for Milton’s 2025 Annual Town Election

Nomination Papers for both Milton Town Wide and/or Milton Town Meeting Members are available from January 21, 2025 through March 11, 2025.

The annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

To be placed upon the ballot, Town Wide candidates must obtain a minimum of 50 legible signatures from registered voters. Town Meeting Member candidates must obtain a minimum of 10 legible signatures from the precinct in which they reside.

Last Day to Register to Vote

If you wish to vote in the Annual Town Election, you must register to vote at least 10 days before the election by Friday, April 18, 2025.  The Office of the Town Clerk will remain open until 5:00 PM.

How to Vote Early

The deadline to submit an application for Early Voting by mail is 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

Election Day Voting Locations and Hours

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Voters will vote at their usual locations:

  • Precinct 2         Milton Senior Center, Walnut Street
  • Precinct 3         Cunningham Park Community Center, Edge Hill Road
  • Precinct 4         Milton Senior Center, Walnut Street

  • Precinct 5         Copeland Field House, Milton High School, Gile Road
  • Precinct 6         Cunningham School Gymnasium, Edge Hill Road
  • Precinct 7         Cunningham Park Community Center, Edge Hill Road

Financial Disclosure

Town-wide candidates must file a financial report of campaign activities according to Chapter 55, Section 27, 

1. Organize with the town clerk, by filing the M101 form. Even candidates without a committee file the M109 form.

2. Open a standard checking account to deposit contributions. Most banks require an EIN from the IRS to open an account.

3. In towns, file the M102 campaign finance form eight days before the election and 30 days afterward. .

4. Year-end reports are filed each Jan. 20 by municipal candidates.
