Milton United clarifies stance amid ‘slate’ rumors, reaffirms focus on community unity and override campaign

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! PLEASE READ! Milton United has been made aware of 'slates' of candidates circulating but has not seen these slates or participated in anything related to them. Our entire campaign ethos is about unity and inclusion. We respect every candidate running, have spoken to candidates on all sides and have spent countless intentional hours building bridges to not cause division, but rather to unite us all for this essential campaign. As evidenced by the vast array of candidates supporting the override (including all of those running for School Committee and Select Board), we have people all across Milton working to help pass the override and we are not engaging in any activities aimed at supporting specific candidates over others. Additionally, our campaign volunteers represent a wide range of backgrounds and political parties. We are posting this statement because we have heard that people are concerned and may be connecting these efforts to our campaign; that claim could not be further from the truth. Let’s continue to work together to pass the override for the entire community. We’re staying focused on this goal. Please share this message widely.
