Explore the Pacific Coast virtually with Joy Marzolf on June 10 – Milton Public Library event
There will be another virtual travel/nature talk with Naturalist Joy Marzolf on Tuesday, June 10, starting at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. This one is called: “From Roses to Redwoods: A Journey Along the Pacific Coast.” Oregon is well known for its rose gardens, but also for its beautiful and rugged coast. Travel through the Williamette Valley and through the coastal range to Newport and the scenic Oregon coast. From sea anemones in the tidepools to seals and sea lions hauling out on the rocks, there is much wildlife to see.
You might even see gray whales in the water! Travel south to the Rogue River where a scenic boat trip can lead to bald eagle and even river otter sightings. This temperate rainforest is also home to coastal redwood, some of the largest trees in the world. Advance registration is required to attend, so please use this link to sign up: miltonlibrary.libcal.com/event/14054316
This event is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to all.
