Milton Conservation Commission to review tree projects, development proposals at July 8th meeting
The Milton Conservation Commission will convene its next public meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom to address a full agenda of environmental and land use matters across the town.
The meeting will be accessible online through Zoom (Meeting ID: 826 2949 5317, Passcode: 316823) or by dialing in at 1-929-205-6099.
Key Items on the Agenda Include:
- Certificates of Compliance for several completed projects at 21 Loew Circle, 1362 Canton Avenue, 38 Bartons Lane, 531 Eliot Street, and 24 Wentworth Farm Road. These certificates indicate that projects have met the conditions outlined in their initial approvals.
- Requests for Determination of Applicability for properties on Hillside Street (681, 695, 725, and 840). These requests seek the Commission’s opinion on whether proposed work falls within areas under its jurisdiction and requires a more formal review process.
- A Notice of Intent has been filed for proposed work at 1395 Canton Avenue, which will be reviewed to assess any potential impact on nearby wetlands or protected areas.
- The Commission will also discuss and vote on a proposed tree placement plan at 131 Eliot Street, and evaluate a Tree Program Application related to the Peverly Park Playground Project, signaling a continued commitment to balancing development with green space preservation.
- Two Orders of Conditions—for 1034 Blue Hill Avenue (a continued hearing from May 3) and 20 Brookside Park—will be up for review and potential vote. These orders detail the environmental stipulations developers must follow for approved projects.
In addition to these matters, the Commission will approve minutes from its June 10 hearing and open the floor to new business before adjourning.
Residents, property owners, and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting virtually to stay informed and participate in the town’s ongoing environmental oversight.
