Milton Public Library to host July 15th travel talk on Panama canal with Barry Pell

Another event happening this month includes an in-person travel talk with World Traveler Barry Pell on Tuesday, July 15, at 7:00 p.m. in our Keys Community Room.

The destination Barry will tell us all about is the “Panama Canal – Connection Between the Oceans that Changed the World.”

The Panama Canal is considered to be one of the great accomplishments of the modern world. More than an engineering achievement, the Canal united the world, fostering global trade and prosperity, as well as a fusion of races, history and cultures. The lecturer, Mr. Pell, traveled through the Canal on a four-masted sailing ship.

In this program, accompanied by his photography, he will discuss the history, controversies, and ingenious design of the Canal. He will also take you along the Pacific coastal jungle to visit some of the wonderful wildlife creatures and plants of Panama and Costa Rica.

Advance registration is required to attend, so please use this link to sign up: hmiltonlibrary.libcal.com/event/14287237
