Milton Select Board Member John Keohane announces resignation

Select Board Member John Keohane submitted his resignation from the Milton Select Board, effective August 5, 2025.

“I have great respect for the work the board does and I remain deeply appreciative of the opportunity to have served the Town of Milton in this capacity,” wrote Mr. Keohane in his letter of resignation to the Select Board, “I’m grateful for the relationships I’ve formed and the experiences I’ve had while on the board.”

“On behalf of the entire Board, I want to thank John for his service to the Town,” said Select Board Chair Benjamin Zoll. “John brought a unique perspective to the board, and the town will feel his absence. We wish him the very best moving forward.”

Town Administrator Nicholas Milano said, “John was deeply dedicated to serving Milton. In particular, he played a key role in helping the town and schools navigate the Fiscal Year 2025 budget and helped to facilitate conversations and decision-making ahead of the override. I appreciated his collaborative and diligent approach to serving on the Select Board.”

The Select Board will meet in the coming weeks to discuss next steps regarding the vacancy on the Select Board.
