Background

United Congregational Church is the newly formed union of First Congregational Church in Milton and East Congregational Church in East Milton. As we look to the future, we are engaging the wider community in shaping how our two campuses can best serve Milton.

Leaders and stakeholders from across the community are invited to share input that will help us create a long-term plan that will maximize the use of our historic facilities and ensure the church remains a vibrant and vital presence in Milton.

About the Asset-Mapping Event

This event will bring together key leaders, stakeholders, and residents from diverse sectors to:

  • Share perspectives, expertise, and creative ideas.
  • Identify opportunities for programs, partnerships, and community use of the church’s facilities.
  • Explore how our spaces can serve as a hub for cultural, service, business, and community initiatives.
  • We believe every participant has something valuable to offer—whether it’s your perspective, connections, creativity, or enthusiasm.

What Is Asset-Mapping?

Asset-Mapping is a collaborative process that identifies and connects the many strengths of a community. For this event, we’ll focus on:

  • The assets of United Congregational Church’s buildings and location.
  • The church’s role and relationships within Milton.
  • Potential partnerships, programs, and initiatives that meet community needs while supporting the church’s long-term sustainability.

This session will be facilitated by Partners for Sacred Places, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping houses of worship thrive as active community resources.
