Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton to hold Annual Gala on May 4

Funds raised will support behavioral health and opioid addiction recovery programs

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton will hold its annual Spring Gala fundraiser on Saturday, May 4 starting
at 6:00 p.m. at Lombardo’s in Randolph, MA.

This year’s Gala theme is “Shining a Light on Outstanding Care.” Funds raised will go towards supporting
behavioral health programs in the hospital’s Emergency Department for patients with mental health or
substance misuse problems, including opioid addiction.

“Mental health and addiction problems are a pressing community health issue,” said Richard Fernandez,
president of BID-Milton. “Funds raised at this event will allow us to support new and exciting programs in the
hospital’s Emergency Department that will help patients struggling with mental health or addictions problems,
including opioid abuse, access treatment programs more quickly.”

Special Guest Emcee, Doug Meehan, of WVCB, will lead the festivities, which will include a silent auction,
including a trip for two to Ireland’s Kilkea Castle, a gourmet dinner and dancing with DJ Emelita.

Shervin. It’s a wonderful evening benefiting our community and is so much fun,” said Kathy Huntington, Gala

A highlight of BID-Milton’s Annual Gala is the awarding of the Charles C. Winchester Award, given to an
individual who possess the traits of commitment, service and leadership to the community. This year’s
honoree is H. Esterbrook Longmaid, MD, the hospital’s long-time medical director of radiology and former
president of the hospital’s Medical Staff.
