Milton’s Pierce Middle School to transition to remote learning beginning November 17

In an email on November 16, 2020, Principal Willian Fish informed the Pierce community that Milton’s middle school would transition to fully remote learning:

We are writing to let you know that Pierce Middle School will transition to fully remote learning beginning tomorrow, November 17th. We will continue in the remote model through the Thanksgiving recess.

We plan to return to in-person learning on Monday, November 30th.

The high increase in positive cases in the Milton community has resulted in a significant number of Pierce staff and students unable to come to school. Subsequently, we are left without the necessary staffing to safely keep the building open and adequately educate students in the hybrid model.

Milton High School is also in full remote learning through November 30th due to nine covid positive students.
