Random Review Wednesday: Bose Noise Masking Sleepbuds

Got unruly neighbors?

I can’t tell you the number of posts in Milton Neighbors that are related to noise, ranging from raucous block parties to loud football games, drag racing to the whine of airplane noise. As a light sleeper who lives under one of Milton’s plane paths, I can relate. Sleep deprivation is related to myriad health problems, not the least of which is length of life, so it’s important for us to catch our zzzzs.

Enter Bose Noise Masking Sleepbuds*. These are truly one of my favorite things. They come in a teeny tiny rechargeable case, and are super comfortable to wear because they are specifically made for sleeping. I take them everywhere.

Staying at a hotel with a 300 person wedding? No problem! Pop them in and listen to “cascade.” Sleeping at a relative’s house whose snores wake the dead? The Bose Noise Masking Sleepbuds got your back! Put on “cascade” and sleep like a baby.

The headphones require an app for use, and easily connect via Bluetooth.

They feature a variety of sounds, some are recommended for relaxation and others are specifically for masking noise:

You can even set an alarm right in the app, which goes off in the earbuds. Trust me, when you have these puppies in, it’s easy to sleep so soundly, you may miss your regular alarm.

My only word of caution is to keep the volume at a reasonable rate, in case of an emergency. The great thing about the sleep buds is they don’t *cancel* the noise altogether. You want to be able to hear your kids (maybe) or get out of the house if an alarm goes off (definitely). They mask the noise just enough so that your brain shuts up and lets you snooze.

Yes, these headphones are pricey, but can you really put a price on the value of your sleep?

Me neither.

Sweet dreams, neighbors!
