St. Mary of the Hills School is sharing their message of Peace, Love and Hope to the community thanks to the wonderful artwork of all the students from kindergarten to grade 8. Under the guidance of our art teacher, Laurinda O’Connor, and the enthusiasm of our principal Julie Marotta, each class happily painted these repurposed cardboard panels outside during their 45-minute art class (while masked). This collaboration started with the older grades laying down many of the foundation colors and symbols on Monday, while the younger grades took the reins on Thursday adding their fun and creative finishing touches to these cheerful tree wraps. The students not only loved seeing each other’s handling of the project but had fun pointing out their part of it as well. These panels are wrapped around several trees up in front of the school for all to see. This isn’t the only collaborative art project these students have worked on, several adorn the inside hall, and it most definitely won’t be the last!

Milton residents Aidan Murphy, Carter Dedier, Aedan Cooper, and Lindsey Fiske all pitched in creating this panel of Hope.
