Temple Beth David Open House and Bar-B-Q to take place August 21

Temple Beth David of the South Shore to Host Open House Barbecue

Are you interested in exploring a progressive Jewish community for study, prayer, and community?  Need a school for your children to learn about Judaism and Hebrew?  How about a delicious meal and friendly conversation with new and old friends?

All are invited to the Temple Beth David Open House and Bar-B-Q, Saturday, August 21, 2021, beginning at 4:00 p.m. (rain or shine). This is a terrific opportunity to meet Rabbi David Winship and Temple Beth David’s lay leaders and members. The event will take place in the beautiful “Rosie’s Garden” behind the building. The Open House will feature a barbecue dinner, lawn games, a little singing, and a delicious barbecue meal. There will also be a brief Havdalah service, marking the end of Shabbat and the beginning of the new week.

Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about TBD’s “Fair Share” pledge program, where no member is turned away for financial reasons. Meet leaders and members of the very active Young Adult Community (YAC). Take a tour of the building, recently upgraded to meet Covid-era ventilation standards. And learn about plans for the upcoming High Holidays, where worship will be in person and also offered online.

The event is free, but reservations would be appreciated for planning purposes. Please email [email protected] or call the Temple office at 781-828-2275 for more information and to RSVP.
