Town of Milton demands staircase repair at Milton Station

Demand regarding staircase at the Milton Station at Adams Street and Notice of Intent to File Complaint

Last December, the Town of Milton, in a letter to the MBTA, described the “ongoing severe public safety hazard of the dilapidated and unstable condition of the staircase at the Adams Street MBTA Station” and summarized its year-long efforts to work with the MBTA to repair the staircase.

The MBTA did not respond to the Town’s letter and the staircase remains in dire condition.

(Maybe they were putting out too many literal fires?)

With the MBTA property still in a state of disrepair, the Town drafted a complaint against the MBTA, noting that the formal complaint will be filed within two weeks if the MBTA continues to fail to respond with an agreeable plan to repair the staircase in a reasonable timeframe.
