For families attending the East Milton Holiday Tree Lighting celebration on Sunday, November 29, East Congregational Church is offering an opportunity to come inside, warm up, create some holiday craft projects, participate in children’s story time, and maybe do some early holiday shopping – all at the same time.

East Church will host its second Annual Holiday Book Fair on Sunday, November 29 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Last year more than 50 children participated in the event. New children’s books from Barefoot Books of Concord, MA will be available for sale. In addition to new books for sale, the event will offer on-going story time and craft stations for children and their families.

This event is part of East Congregational Church’s focus on literacy as part of the Reading Changes Lives initiative of the United Church of Christ. Shoppers purchasing books will also be invited to purchase an additional book to be donated. Donated books will be delivered to Interfaith Social Services Bureau in Quincy to be distributed as holiday gifts.

East Congregational Church is located at 610 Adams Street, a short walk down the street from East Milton square.
