South Shore Elder Services volunteer opportunities:

Our volunteers frequently tell us that they receive far more than they give when they help elders. Many have been volunteering 10, 15, even 20 years…longer than many people stay at a job. However, substitute positions, short term commitments, and even one-time opportunities are available. Also, corporate, civic, youth, and faith-based groups can team up to volunteer. In short, if you are willing and qualified, there is probably a volunteer opportunity to fit you. Consider how you might enrich your life and the life of an elder through one of several Volunteer Programs here at South Shore Elder Services, Inc.

About Meals on Wheels:

Our home delivered meals program, also known as “Meals on Wheels”, are designed to provide just the right combination of good nutrition and a friendly visitor for people 60+ who may not have enough food, be able to prepare their own food, or understand the proper nutritional requirements as they are advancing in age.

We deliver meals based on need, so whether long or short term, we can help you or a loved one eat properly.  Whether recovering from surgery or an illness, or just not having the mobility to get to the market on a regular basis, Meals on Wheels is there to support seniors in our communities

Volunteer opportunity shared from the Milton Times.
