Housing Discrimination Education Session to be held April 28

On Thursday, April 28th from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at Braintree Town Hall in the Cahill Auditorium, the South Shore Fair Housing Committee will host a Fair Housing 101 event in celebration of Fair Housing Month. The event will include a panel featuring experts in the field followed by a Q&A. If you are a tenant, landlord, lender, property manager, real estate agent or prospective homebuyer, this event will provide education on your rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act and the resources available to respond to possible discrimination. Local housing authorities will also be available to answer questions about their programs.

This event is free and open to the public, and a pizza dinner will be provided to registered attendees. Please register by April 26th online at fairhousing101.eventbrite.com or by contacting Louise Quinlan at 781-794-8235.

The meeting location is accessible to people with disabilities and near public transportation. Upon request (preferably two weeks in advance of the meeting), every effort will be made to provide accommodations such as assistive listening devices, materials in accessible formats and in languages other than English, and interpreters in American Sign Language and other languages.
