Festivals Program Grants Available

Applications for Massachusetts Cultural Council’s (MCC) Festivals Program will open on June 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). The program is aimed at helping festival programmers meet the needs of producing, promoting, and developing audiences.

This grant round is targeted at festivals taking place between September 1, 2016 and February 28, 2017. There will be a second grant round in Januaury 2017 for spring and summer 2017 festivals, pending legislative appropriation.

Grant awards will be $500. Recipients will also receive promotional and technical support through our ongoing work with ArtsBoston. Through their work with MCC, ArtsBoston will promote festivals on their website at www.artsboston.org/massfestivals, and analyze data collected by festivals through their Audience Initiative.

The online application will open at 10:00 a.m. (ET) on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 and close on September 15, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. (ET). Applications will be reviewed on a “first-received, first-reviewed” basis. Regional diversity will be taken into consideration as part of the review process.
