Milton Police Department advises on storm preparedness:

With a snow storm slated to hit Massachusetts on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, the Milton Police Department would like to remind residents of the following:

  • Have candles or flashlights (check the batteries) in a quickly accessible place. Have non-perishable food on hand. If you need to go to the supermarket, please do so today Monday 3/13/2017.
  • The Milton Police Department does not allow overnight street parking during the winter months. Please remove your vehicles from all roadways.
  • If you do not need to travel, please stay off the roadways on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Let our Department of Public Works members clear the roadways. Please give the plows and sanders the room they need to do their job.
  • If you have a residential power outage, please call Eversource directly at 800-592-2000. Calling Eversource directly will provide Eversource with the information they need to determine effected areas and number of customers without power. This data will be used to make decisions on where to send storm crews. The website for Eversource is: www.eversource.com/Content/ema-c/residential/outages/storm-preparedness

With the potential of homes to lose power during the Nor’easter we suggest that you turn your heat up during the overnight and morning hours. If you lose power your home will retain heat.

Please be a good neighbor and check on each other.  Phone numbers that are of importance.
