Milton Public Library to host workshop on fixing democracy

When: Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Avenue, Milton

Most Americans agree our democracy is broken… learn why and how you can help!

Workshop highlights:

  • What Is Democracy?
  • The Corporate Campaign for Constitutional Rights throughout US History
  • Recent Supreme Court Decisions and Their Effects on Democracy
  • Building a Democracy Movement and the Campaign for a Constitutional Amendment
  • Massachusetts Legislative Campaign for the We the People Act!
  • How you can help!

Participants will learn how people’s movements throughout our history have improved our democracy — and why we need a democracy amendment to the US Constitution.

A government that is truly of, by, and for the people — not big corporations and the super-rich is a winnable goal!
