Fishing tournament to take place at Turners Pond

When: Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 (rain date June 10th) from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Where: Turners Pond

Come down to Turners Pond this Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 7:00 a.m. for the 24th annual Ed Baker Fishing Tournament! The price is $3.00 for youth and $5.00 for adults. Free coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, and cookies will be donated by Bents Cookie Factory. Bring your own worms – no shiners or minnows are allowed for tournament bait.

Trophies will be awarded to each age division. Those who score 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the youth division for most fish caught in the division will be awarded. The 1st place in the adult division will receive the Joe Lannan Memorial Award. The most fish caught in the youth division will receive 2 Red Sox tickets donated by Peter Noonan Jr. First place in the youth division will also receive 2 Red Sox tickets donated by the Peltier family, and first place in the adult division will receive 2 Boston College football tickets donated by Ed Baker.

A special thanks to the Lannan family and Maura Hamilton who year after year have generously donated to the stocking of Turners Pond. Thanks also to Boston Electrical Solutions for their generous donation.
