What’s the buzz about? Learn about Bees and Bears at Stone Zoo!

When: Saturday, August 12th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Stone Zoo, 149 Pond Street, Stoneham

It’s all about Bees and Bears at Stone Zoo on Saturday, August 12. Learn about our black bears, Smoky and Bubba during zookeeper chats, discover if they really love honey and learn how it’s made at the education table! Guests will be able to explore more about bees in Stone Zoo’s new Animal Discovery Center, where there will be storytime and crafts to enjoy.

The new Animal Discovery Center features a live observational honeybee hive where guests can watch these incredible insects in action, and learn about the crucial role bees play as pollinators in healthy ecosystems.

Special Zoo guests, Papa Bear and Mama Bear from the Berenstain Bears will be joining in on the fun for a meet and greet with guests.*

*Please note that the Berenstain Bears will be out on half hour intervals from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
