Bishop Alan Gates joined family mass at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

Bishop Gates blessed backpacks of young students

On Sunday, September 16, 2018, Bishop Alan Gates of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts joined Rev. Hall Kirkham and parishioners for a family mass at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 112 Randolph Ave. in Milton, Mass. Bishop Gates also blessed the backpacks of young students, an annual tradition which takes place at the beginning of the school year. The children also hand-made a sign welcoming Bishop Gates to the parish.
