“The New England Irish Harp Orchestra” to return to Milton Public Library

Join “The New England Irish Harp Orchestra” for a celebration of the holidays

There will be the third concert in our Fall series happening on Saturday, December 8th starting at 2:00 p.m. and this will be a celebration of the holidays with a return by “The New England Irish Harp Orchestra.” You may remember seeing and hearing this wonderful group from a couple of years ago here at the Library, so I am bringing them back for more fun. The band consists of about 12 Irish harpists, a few other instrumentalists, and their Director, Regina Delaney, who performs an Irish dance as well! Their repertoire includes traditional Irish dance tunes, slow airs, and songs. Members range in age from mid-twenties to mid-eighties and come from Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The Orchestra has been performing for over 12 years throughout New England and Ireland. Regina Delaney is a New Hampshire Council on the Arts artist on the Traditional Arts and Arts in Health Care Roster. For this concert, the group will bring us beautiful songs to celebrate the holiday season with their lovely melodic instruments. Please come and catch the spirit at this event, where we will also offer holiday refreshments for all. This is an all-ages event, so bring the family too.
