This 7-week mini-series, “Summer Roadmaps: Quick Reads and Short Takes on Race and Culture in the USA” is an online series that is a response to the immediacy of providing a community-oriented platform for gaining some understanding about race and systemic racism against African Americans and other people of color in the USA. This series is online, free to the public, and everyone is welcome.

This will be a safe space for learning, listening, and asking questions. The mini-series is addressing the urgent call for racial justice; a demand for changer and belonging – because black lives matter and because of the work that’s needed from everyone to attain racial justice and positive social transformation.

This mini-series highlights themes of race and culture in the United States through select short readings; film/video and clips; and podcasts. Participants will receive weekly emails and all reading emails will be available online or available at google docs.
