Joe Parlavecchio announces candidacy for re-election to Town Meeting, Precinct 9
I’ve been honored these past several years to serve as a Town Meeting Member in Precinct 9, and am seeking your support for my re-election.
I live on Colonial Road with my wife, Olivia, and three children, Nora (8), Audrey (6), and AJ (4). Our decision to move to Milton five years ago was one of the best ones we made. We have truly appreciated the people we’ve met here, all the friendships we’ve made, and everything that this great town has to offer. Participating as a Town Meeting Member has been a great opportunity for me to give back, but the work isn’t done yet, and I’m hopeful to contribute more to shaping an even better future for our community!
To give you a sense of my background, after graduating from Boston College High School and then Dartmouth College, I spent the past 20+ years in the financial services industry in Boston. During that time, I fostered deep relationships with my clients and developed an understanding of the perseverance and collaboration it takes to effectively get things done. Not long after moving to Milton, I started up my own local business as a Financial Advisor, which has given me a venue to be more involved in the community. I’m an active sponsor for various events & causes, a Milton Youth Soccer coach, and serve as President of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, in addition to sitting on the Board of Directors of the Quincy Chamber, and the Popponesset Beach Association.
I take the privilege of representing our Precinct seriously. I consistently participate in all meetings, obtain input from residents, and vote knowledgeably & responsibly on the issues facing Milton. I will continue to be a strong advocate for the interests of Precinct 9, and will ensure that your voice is heard clearly in Town Meeting, particularly as it relates to the onslaught of 40B projects.
I ask for the support of Precinct 9 voters on Election Day, Tuesday, April 27th, and if re-elected, I will continue to work hard to prove that you made the right decision entrusting me with your vote! Thank you.
