FREE concert at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Sunday January 23rd 2022

The Me2/ orchestra is performing a FREE concert at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Sunday January 23rd at 3:00 p.m.

Me2/ is the world’s only classical music organization created for individuals with mental illnesses and those who support them.  The mission of the organization is to erase the stigma associated with mental illness.  The concert is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the group, and it is sponsored by McLean.  Me2/ serves as a model organization where people with and without mental illnesses work together in an environment where acceptance is an expectation, patience is encouraged, and supporting each other is a priority.  The orchestra is about half people with a mental health diagnosis, and half supporters.

More info on Me2/ is available here:  https://me2music.org/

Free tickets for the concert can be reserved here:  https://www.bso.org/events/me2-orchestra

Masks and proof of vaccination are required.  We do not expect to fill the hall, so there will be plenty of room for social distancing.  The orchestra is fully vaxxed, rapid tested, and masked (except for the winds while playing).  In the spirit of inclusion, there will be sign language interpreters, assisted hearing devices, and accessible seating.  There will also be a designated quiet room available outside the performance hall so folks can take a break if they experience sensory overload.
