POLL RESULTS: Should the May 16th Town Meeting be held virtually?
Milton’s Annual Town Meeting had been scheduled to take place on May 16, 2022, in person.
Several Town Meeting members have expressed concern about the meeting being held in person, as opposed to virtually, in light of both the success of several recent virtual town meetings during the pandemic, as well as the recent uptick in COVID infections. The number of new infections have more than doubled in the past month in Norfolk county, and have increased by 67% in the past 14 days (source: NY Times).
What do you think?
On May 12, the Town announced that this year’s Town Meeting will be held virtually, due to the uptick in positive Covid cases.
