St. Patrick’s Day Concert to take place March 4

There will be a second concert in our Spring series held this month. To celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day where so many embrace all things Irish, a talented Celtic duo called Stanley & Grimm will perform on Saturday, 3/4, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., in the Keys Community Room. This group will bring us a celebration of traditional Irish music and more, through new interpretations of jigs, reels, and songs played by fiddler Nikki Engstrom and singer/guitarist Sean Brennan. The duo creates a musical journey through a bounty of tunes and ballads of all origins, alongside modern tunes and songs they have composed.

This group takes their name from the makers of Engstrom’s fiddle and bow. The Irish Rambler Radio Show describes them as having a “wonderfully pure, organic and authentic sound that makes them rank among the finest entertainers on this side of the Atlantic. Their arrangements and playing ability enables them to produce an acoustic tapestry which is close to perfection.”  No signup is required to attend this enjoyable afternoon of music – just come in person and bring your friends and family, as all will be tapping their toes and singing along to some very fun tunes!. For questions, please Email [email protected] or call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964.  Use this link for our website: www.miltonlibrary.org  All of these events are kindly supported by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and are free and open to everyone.  We hope to see you for an enjoyable program in March!
