Blood drive to take place June 29 at Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills

Why donate?

You will be someone’s hero – One pint of blood can save up to three lives.

It feels great to donate!

It’s something you can spare – most people have blood to spare… yet, there is still not enough to go around.

You will help ensure blood is on the shelf when needed – most people don’t think they’ll ever need blood, but many do.

Important to be well hydrated; wear comfortable, loose clothing

Appointment Required – There are two ways to make an appointment:

or
CALL THE RED CROSS: 1-800-RED-CROSS – select option 1 for blood donation

Necessary Information: Blood drive date & location (June 29, 2023, Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, Milton, MA) your name, phone #, and donor ID (if you have one)

Logistics

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time
  • Register
  • Proceed to donor bed
  • Donation: 10 minutes. Whole process approx. 1 hour
  • Rest / Sit up: 10-15 minutes, drink water and enjoy (kosher) refreshments
