“The First Woman Pilot, Amelia Earhart” talk to take place June 27 at Milton Public Library

“The First Woman Pilot, Amelia Earhart” will take place on Tuesday, 6/27, at 7:00 p.m. in the Milton Public Library Keys Community Room with historian Bob Begin.

The first woman pilot Earhart was both on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas, and disappeared July 2, 1937 near Howland Island, central Pacific Ocean.  This American aviator was one of the world’s most celebrated pilots, and she was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

Speaker Bob Begin is an avid history fan and devotes his research to interesting and inspiring topics from American chronology.  For more details, please go to our website. However registration is NOT required to attend this talk.  Just come in person and bring your other history buffs with you.  We hope to see you there!
