Milton Coalition urges parents and guardians to shut down partying in Milton’s woods

Parents, guardians, caregivers.

Milton’s young people want to connect with their peers, hang out, have fun.

We want them to as well!

Join together and provide them a safe, substance free place to do this over this long holiday weekend.

The “woods”, also known as the “crater” is not the place. First, there is no trespassing after dark. Second, it is very dangerous, increasingly so. Ask around.

Videos circulate widely among students. Assaults (physical, sexual, verbal and emotional) are a regular occurrence.

Cunningham park is a big, dark place at night. Do your own research. Discuss with other parents, your young person and their friends. Make decisions together about what risks they are willing to take and what boundaries should be set.

Cunningham Park and MPD have increased patrols and sanctions.

Listen to our presentation at the Select Board meeting on 6/27. Starts at 1:37. Ends at 2:06.

Please share with other Milton fb pages and neighborhood pages. This is a judgement free post! Raising children is hard!

It is time to shut down partying in the woods.
