Milton to open bids for watermain improvements project on May 30, 2024

The Department of Public Works for the Town of Milton, Massachusetts will receive sealed bids for the 2024 Watermain Improvements Project – W24-1 until 11:00 a.m. local time May 302024 in the Engineering Department on the 2nd Floor of the Milton Town Offices located at 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Cronin Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Milton Town Offices. Bids received after the time of announced opening will not be accepted. Clearly label bids “2024 Watermain Improvements Project – W24-1”.

 The work under this contract will consist of, but is not limited to the relaying of existing watermain with ductile-iron watermain on THOMPSON LANE, LANTERN LANE AND POND STREET for a total of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 8-inch to 12-inch watermain and all related valves, hydrants, service connections, bypass piping, temporary pavement and safety signs.

Work shall be substantially completed by December 13, 2024, except for final pavement which shall be completed after 90 days or over the winter settlement at a minimum.

The Contract Documents may be downloaded from the bidding page on the Town’s website at https://www.townofmilton.org/bids.aspx. Printed documents may be obtained during the business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Friday in the Engineering Office located on the 2nd floor of Town Hall, 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186 on or after May 16, 2024.

non-refundable fee of $75.00 by check payable to the Town of Milton shall be required for each set of Contract Documents printed and obtained from the Engineering Department.
