Forbes House Museum and Milton Public Library to host Stephen Puleo author talk on June 13

“The Forbes House Museum and Milton Public Library will host acclaimed local author and historian Stephen Puleo for a discussion of his newest book, The Great Abolitionist: Charles Sumner and the Fight for a More Perfect Union, the first major biography of Senator Sumner to be written in over fifty years.

Puleo’s book talk and Q&A will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, followed by a book sale and signing at 7:45 p.m. The event will take place in the Keys Community Room on the lower level of the Milton Public Library.

Combining both the rich and important history of abolitionism in Massachusetts, and the extensive local talent that Greater Boston offers, the Forbes House Museum and Milton Public Library hope this event interests and inspires our local community.
