Council on Aging to hold meeting on May 12: Community invited to share input
The Council on Aging will hold its upcoming monthly meeting on May 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Council on Aging Classroom. The meeting is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and share their comments or concerns.
The agenda will open with public comments, followed by reports from the Council’s leadership, including the Secretary, Treasurer, and Director. The Director’s report will cover important topics such as program updates, upcoming trips, and a review of the room rental and alcohol policy.
Representatives from associated groups will also provide updates, including Doreen from Friends of COA and Mary Ann with the SSE Report. Several committees will share their progress, with reports from the Administration (Bobbi), Reach Out (Jeanne), Community Voices (Janet & Caroline), and Quality Control (Sara).
The Council will revisit ongoing projects under Old Business, notably the intergenerational initiatives, plans for a commemorative tree and plaque, and the return of the ice cream truck—all aimed at strengthening connections across age groups.
The session will also address new business items and allow time for questions, feedback, and concerns from attendees.
The Council on Aging plays a vital role in serving older adults in the community, and the public’s input is a key part of shaping its initiatives. Residents are encouraged to join the discussion and stay informed about local programs and policies.
