4th Fit For Life Walk to take place on October 14th

When: Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Milton Council on Aging, 10 Walnut St, Milton

Did you know that in fiscal year 2017 the Milton Council on Aging (COA) van service provided nearly 6,500 rides to our seniors? That’s a lot of trips to medical appointments, the grocery store and local businesses, and even the COA so that Milton’s finest can participate in the Town’s health and wellness events.

Unfortunately, the Town cannot cover the full cost of this wonderful transportation service, which has grown considerably higher as more seniors stay in their homes longer. To keep this level of service, the seniors need our help!

That’s why Milton Boot Camp is organizing the 4th Milton COA Fit For Life Walk on Saturday, October 14, at 9:00 a.m. The event will bring the community together to support the Friends of the Milton Council on Aging (COA) Transportation Fund, a registered 501(c)(3) organization that helps cover the cost of driving our senior population.

Individuals and families of all levels will walk one or three miles around Milton, starting and ending at the COA on Walnut St. We’ll have light refreshments, a raffle and lots of laughs! And we’ll show how together we can be healthy — and have fun — while helping our seniors stay healthy.
