Art gives Kids a Voice—New Friday Art Program, Draw & Paint for Junior Artists!
One of the most valuable things art offers children is autonomy. In a world where so much of their day is structured—school rules, sports drills, screen prompts—art invites kids to make their own choices.
What color should I use?
What should I draw?
How do I want this to feel?
These aren’t just artistic questions—they’re personal ones. At summer art camp, they have the time to learn to trust their instincts, take risks, and solve problems on their own terms. They begin to see themselves not just as students or campers, but as creators—people with ideas worth exploring and sharing.
When a child finishes a piece of art, they’re not just holding a finished product—they’re holding evidence that their ideas matter. That’s the kind of confidence that lasts far beyond summer.
It’s not just fun, it’s confidence, growth, and self-expression.
In addition to our regular summer camp, the Milton Art Center has a new Friday Art Program.
