I am excited to announce my candidacy for this year’s town wide election for Board of Selectmen.

After many years of strong service, Tom Hurley is stepping down and I’m running, and hoping, to fill his seat.

As someone that was born and raised here, I have seen the changes that our town has undergone, almost all overwhelmingly positive. Schools & education, smart commercial economic growth and development, crafting a solution to increased airplane noise, public safety, and substance use disorder will be the focus of my campaign. I am eager to hear opinions and get feedback from as many residents as possible and I intend to do just that between now and April 25th.

I work as an attorney for Norfolk County Sheriff Michael Bellotti where I provide legal opinions on the day to day operations of a correctional facility. I also help oversee legislation related to public safety, law enforcement and the overall mission of the Office. In this role, I have come to learn how state government functions, particularly with respect to budgets, lawmaking, grant funding, and labor contracts. I believe that this experience will allow me to make a positive contribution almost immediately.

Milton is a town in transition and the decisions that we make as a municipality, and how we choose to fund those decisions, will affect us for years to come. I would like to help set a course to continue to steer Milton in its best direction. I believe that my professional background, education, values, judgment and most importantly, my ability to work collaboratively as part of a three member Board, qualify me as the best choice. I welcome the chance to convey that in the coming weeks.

Like all campaigns, this requires hard work, dogged persistence, detailed organization and broad support. I need as much help and as many volunteers as I can muster. There are many ways to pitch in and in the coming days I will outline specifically how to do so. I look forward to the next six weeks and earning the opportunity to serve Milton as one of its next Selectmen. It would be an honor and a privilege!
