Work on Andrews Park stairs has begun

In a collaborative effort between East Milton Neighborhood Association, the Parks & Recreation Department, the Department of Public Works, and town administration, the long awaited project to rehabilitate the stairs leading from Granite Place to Andrews Park has begun!

The project includes realigning the existing granite stairs, repairing the asphalt walkway, and grading and seeding the area. The walkway from Granite Place will be closed for the duration of the project. Work has started and will take two to three weeks to complete. Residents and park users are encouraged to use the Howe Street entrance to Andrews Field during that time.

Thanks to Park Commissioner Scott MacKay and Selectman Richard Wells for pushing this project along, and a special thank you to our neighbors Karen and Tim Harris who graciously allowed the town to take down trees on their property to allow this work to happen.
