Board of Selectmen statement on the appointment of Michael Dennehy as new town administrator:

The Milton Board of Selectmen voted unanimously tonight to appoint Michael Dennehy of Milton as its next town administrator. Mr. Dennehy has exhibited exceptional leadership in his role as head of the City of Boston Department of Public Works and a member of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s cabinet. We are proud to appoint an innovative public administrator of Mr. Dennehy’s caliber and experience and look forward to working with him on public safety, economic development, education, veterans and seniors affairs, and technology, among other issues. We had many high quality candidates and would like to thank the selection committee as well as outgoing town administrator Annemarie Fagan for her invaluable assistance on this issue, as well as her many years of service. We will begin contract negotiations with Mr. Dennehy immediately.”
