Think you’ve missed the “yoga train?” Feeling it is too late to learn what yoga is all about? Need advice on how to start out? Local yoga instructor Fran Karoff is offering a “Beginner-Beginner” yoga workshop on Saturday, May 20th at the First Congregational Church in Milton from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The cost is $30. Each attendee will receive a “free class pass” valued at $15 to be used at a future date.
“People often tell me they really want to know where to begin, so this workshop is for them,” said Karoff. “I will simplify the elements of a yoga class, and dispel any mysteries. I’ll help people understand how to move safely so they can feel secure on the mat.”
Running a yoga studio out of the second floor of the church for the past two years, Karoff supports an enthusiastic base of yoga practitioners of all levels. Classes meet on Monday and Wednesdays (morning and evening) and Friday mornings. Preregistration is required. “My classes are geared to meet you where you are, whether advanced or beginner or anything in between. I offer modifications and options so that the practice can really support every level.”
In speaking of the classes, one participant said, “We all come away feeling inspired, stronger, happy and elated from such a great workout.”
